Great food! And peaceful atmosphere. Although, I’ve visited on a Friday. We had sausages with mash and crispy onion rings and it was SO good! Great spot for lunch after a day of roaming about!

Lunch break during our visit to the museum. The place was very busy and I was not expecting to see my food too soon. However before my seats were warm our food was brought over. We ordered sausage roll, pulled beef pie and pumpkin tart as well as tea. All quite satisfying. Our food was fresh, warm and tasty. Tea was good. There were many customers but our needs were catered for promptly. Highly recommend it.

Loved the quite and cozy environment and the extremely helpful staff, we asked about halal options and cross contamination and the chef himself came out and explained our options. Their burger and fries were absolutely amazing, you can tell that their fries are made from frozen sources and the chicken wasn't re-cooked. I wasn't expecting that kind of attention to detail from a cafe, while even the fancy burger joints neglect it. The smashed avo and eggs was very well made too. Great place for kids, as they have well spaced seating arrangement and are not blasting music. Maybe I am being a bit biased as I wasn't expecting that kind of finesse from a cafe tbh. As I thought most people only visit it because of the views' n 'vibe and being located next to the museum. I m glad I was wrong, a must visit spot for brunches.

Museums have really upped their game when it comes to food and this cafe certainly does. We just wanted a snack, so had the ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches, with a side order of fries and a nice glass of Riesling. The food was really yummy, and looking at other people‘s orders around the different tables, the food looked great. If visiting the museum, I would definitely make sure I had time for lunch here. The experience is even better if you get the chance to sit outside with the view of the lake.

The Museum Cafe located inside National Museum of Australia in Canberra. It provides light and normal meals, suitable for people just sitting for a cup of coffee or tea with a cake or starved for lunch after visiting the museum gallery and exhibition. The prices of food and drinks are reasonable and the quality of the food is above average The outdoor sitting area is nice with beautiful water and costal scenery.
